When I first met Maryke, her & Alexander had planned to elope, at Riverside Manor in Groot Brak. A beautiful little guesthouse down the road from Maryke’s parents house. The first time she saw the Manor House, Maryke immediately knew that she’d want to have her wedding there. The beautiful house overlooking the river, reminded her of The Notebook. And, as soon as her and Alexander set a date, they made this amazing little venue the official location for their big day.
Word soon got out among their friends and family and the planned elopement turned into an intimate wedding of 24. Friends, family, guests & neighbours, from all over, made a massive contribution to make this beautiful day possible. Maryke’s dad baked the wedding cake, her mother dried confetti (from her garden), Alexander’s mom supplied Hydrangeas for both the table decor & Maryke’s bouquet. May I add, that her bouquet, by Yes Flowers was absolutely breathtaking. A petite, little redhead carrying around this massive bouquet, was a sight I could not get enough of!
From intricate details, like their custom made ring box by Wildflower Garter, to a candle-light dinner under the stars. This wedding has left me with goosebumps and giggles and I am so very happy to be sharing it with you!
