I honestly believe that I am the luckiest wedding photographer in the world! I have the most amazing couples, with the most beautiful stories. Emma & Jaces held their wedding at The Red Barn, in Dullstroom – and it was nothing less than spectacular.
They met two years ago, at Madikwe Lodge. Madikwe holds a special place for these two Wild Hearts. Sadly, Emma’s father passed away a few years ago. His ashes were scattered here, under a beautiful old tree. Fast forward a few years, to that very same tree, where Jaces asked for Emma’s hand in marriage. He chose this spot as a symbol of respect and blessing from Emma’s father. Yes, you can grab those tissues now.
The Big Day
The day kicked off with Jaces and his entourage “shooting stuff”, Emma and her bridesmaids popping champagne and a beautiful outdoor ceremony, in the forest.
Throughout the day, Jaces sister beautifully translated the events to his parents. Since both struggle with a hearing disability, most of our communication was left to lip-reading and sign language. Emma’s mother delivered an award winning speech, when she surprised us all with her fluent sign language and Jaces father had us all in tears during his.
I am honestly still in awe and overjoyed from this beautiful day. And I am thrilled to be sharing some of their wonderful memories with you.
A special ‘Thank you’
Emma & Jaces
I can not get enough of your photos. I was left in tears, giggles and often just whispers of amazement, whilst editing. Thank you for an amazing adventure, a beautiful love story and for being so much fun to work with. We are sending you love, virtual hugs and hope to see you two soon.
